What Tuna Collects
To provide moderation, economy, leveling, and ticket features, Tuna stores certain data tied to Discord IDs (not real names or personal identity, unless a user's Discord profile itself reveals that):
- Discord user IDs, server (guild) IDs, and channel IDs
- Moderation records: warnings, ban/kick/mute cases, moderator notes, timestamps
- Economy balances and transaction history within a server
- Leveling XP and message-count-derived stats
- Server configuration set by administrators (prefixes, log channels, automod settings, rank ladders, etc.)
- Message content is not permanently stored — snippets are held briefly in memory for features like snipe (recovering a just-deleted message) and are lost on bot restart
What Tuna Does Not Collect
- No passwords or Discord account credentials — Tuna never has access to these
- No private DMs, unless a user directly messages the bot
- No payment information (Tuna has no paid tiers)
- No data from servers Tuna has not been added to
How Data Is Used
Stored data is used solely to operate the features it relates to — for example, warning history is used by the ,warnings and ,history commands, and economy balances are used by ,balance and related commands. Data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising.
Data Retention
Data tied to a server is retained for as long as Tuna remains in that server. If Tuna is removed from a server, that server's data is not actively purged immediately but is no longer accessible through any command, and is periodically cleaned up. Users or server administrators may request deletion of specific data by contacting support.
Dashboard Login Data (Future Feature)
When dashboard login becomes available, authenticating with Discord or Google will use those providers' own OAuth systems — Tuna will receive only the account identifiers and basic profile information (username, avatar) those providers share during login, never your password. This section will be updated with full detail once that feature is live.
Third-Party Services
Tuna's hosting and Discord's own API are the only infrastructure currently involved in running the bot. Any future integration with a third-party service will be disclosed here before it goes live.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of, or deletion of, data associated with your Discord user ID by contacting support. Server administrators can remove Tuna from their server at any time, and can use in-bot commands (e.g. ,clearwarns) to delete specific records.
Children's Privacy
Tuna is intended for use in accordance with Discord's own minimum age requirements and does not knowingly collect data from users below that age beyond what Discord itself already provides to any bot present in a server.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
